Interested in hosting an event? We are looking for hosts and locations for weekly/monthly/quarterly dinners/brunches/activities throughout our area, but especially in the Saratoga, Lake George, Fort Ti, and Plattsburgh areas. We have many members who are far enough north that the Albany-area events are not convenient. If you are one of them, please consider hosting! Typically, all that is required is picking something you like to do (and might already be doing), getting it into the newsletter and on the MoNNY calendar, and showing up. You might even get some Mensans from Vermont! Please contact one of our Area Coordinators for more information. |
Weekly Events

Tavern Tuesday is at 6:00 pm (weekly) at O'Toole's Restaurant and Pub, 1814 Central Avenue, Colonie, NY 12205. Come for the food, the drinks or just dessert, and join in the multiple threads of conversation (there is NTN Buzztime Trivia or if you need more multi-tasking than simultaneous conversations provide!). People interested in learning more about Mensa are welcome and are encouraged to attend. We're usually in the back corner near the big Shell sign. Monthly Events

First Friday Lunch starts at 12:00 noon at the Food Court area on the second level at Colonie Center on Wolf Road, Albany. Look for the newsletter on the table. Not surprisingly, it is held on the first Friday of each month. |

Games Night is hosted monthly by John Hornberger, usually on a Saturday evening at his home. He can be reached at 518-372-2444 (h); 518-391-3799 (c); and . There is a diffrent theme each month and the event is generally very well attended by the enthusiastic gamers in our local chapter! |

A Members Only section has been added to the MoNNY website! Access to Newsletters and other items related to Mensa-only events or containing potentially private information will now require the same User ID and password used to access the American Mensa website. For more information regarding getting a password or with help resolving any problems, please go to the American Mensa sign-in page.. I have found them to be very helpful resolving my own self-inflicted computer woes... |
The Mensa Foundation scholarship application process is CLOSED. Applications will be accepted again beginning late in 2012. Good luck to everyone who applied!
